The Board of Directors of GRAS were in Tanzania from the 11th – 16th February 2019 to conduct a workshop at Ruaha National Park. The workshop intended to establish and map a way forward for Green Resources group with focus on short term priorities as well as the longer term development of GRAS into an integrated company. In attendance were the Chairman - Frode Alhaug and his fellow board members (Lasse D. Nergaard, Michal Brink, Ilkka Norjamâki, Mikko Kuuskoski, Eirik Bergh). On the side of Management in attendance was COO and acting CEO (Jarl Kosberg), CFO (Lars Ellegård) and incoming CEO for the group (Hans Lemm).

Some of the topics discussed during the workshop were business environment, market and industrial development, plantation priorities and compliance and fraud prevention. The workshop concluded on priorities and direction which will help GRAS in its development as one of the leading forestry company in East Africa.

On the last day of the Workshop the team visited Sao Hill for a familiarisation tour. Sao Hill Industries located in Iringa District, the largest saw mill and wood processing plant in East Africa, is a subsidiary of Green Resources. They were met on arrival by the industrial and plantation management teams who took them around the plant and a recently planted area close to the Sao Hill industrial area.
